Week 1-6( Sem 1)
Discussion
From week 1 to 6, the team decides the roles of each member and the planning of building the cardboard prototype of the mouth and the eyes.
Week 14-15 ( Sem 1)
Building, additional electronics and mechanisms.
Started to actually make the eye movement to work without the micro controller and continued to fabricate the mouth and its mechanisms.
Week 1 ( Sem 2)
Roles assignment
This week, we were assigned new roles, the brand collateral, the slides maker, the presenter, the video editor.
Week 6 ( Sem 2)
Psychology lessons
This week was very interesting as we had a guest lecturer from London whose name is Dennis who taught us about social sciences. He taught us how to manage our projects better and how to make our product more appealing to others and also how to deal with people outside.
Vacation week( Sem 1)
Inventor drawings and item purchasing
During this 3 week holiday, the team has been tasked to do the inventor drawings and purchasing of materials for the coming weeks where we will be making the product.
Week 11-13( Sem 1)
Item purchasing and building
From week 11-13, we started to build the product and added some more features to the product, like mechanisms and a little trial of the micro controllers.
Week 16-18 ( Sem 1)
Product repairs, posters, finalisation for product review
During these 3 weeks, we created the poster for our product, painted and added colouring to the product, finalised our presentation slides.
Also managed to get the mouth mechanism to work as intended and minor changes to the eyes for it to move more smoothly and naturally.
Week 2-3 ( Sem 2 )
Product changes and coding lessons
The team has decided to change the entire product to acrylic so as to fit it with the rest of the groups whose products are mostly acrylic.
However it will take time to remodel everything and most likely be completed at the start of next year.
Dr. Ercan also taught us how to code using arduino and how it can help our project by giving us code examples and building from there.

( Sem 2 )
Mouth fabricating
During the holidays, the plans for making the eyes are complete. We had to finish the entire physical product before the holidays just in time for the upcoming open house in 2018. During this time, a lot of time is dedicated to programming the eyes, troubleshooting and wiring of the entire product, coding wise was still in the early stages and the mouth and eyes can only move individually.
Week 4-5 ( Sem 2)
Getting new materials and videography
For this 2 weeks we purchased new materials for our new product design to be done during the upcoming vacation, we bought 3mm and 5mm acrylic to build the mouth and the eye as well as choloroform. We also had videography lessons by Jerome who gave us tips on how to film for our final report. We also got to fabricate the new mouth design as for the eyes, to be completed during the holidays.
Week 12-16
Improvements and troubleshooting
During this entire 4 weeks, we were tasked to complete and finish up our project. A lot of troubleshooting was done in order for the entire system to function as one. Spent a lot of nights overnight just to make sure things do not go wrong on the day of the presentation and making sure the wiring, coding aesthetics look and work much better than what we had back in semester 1
Week 17-18
Presentation day
The final week that concludes our project. It went better than i expected and was really happy when the entire group from 1 to 6 worked as a system and not individually. It was really emotional seeing as all the work we had put in actually paid off and it can be seen through our product.
